“Highlighting how web services can benefit from showing more personality. Interestingly, the most popular social services, like Facebook and Twitter, show very little personality in their interfaces. They recede into the background and leave space (both mental and physical) for the content that you want to get to. I think there's an interesting discussion there, which I missed in this book.”

We should not be devoting all of our time to provide a perfect experience. Why not? Well, perfection is seldom possible. More importantly, perfection is seldom worth the effort. So what if people have some problems with an application, a website, a product, or a service? What matters is the total experience. Furthermore, the actual experience is not as important as the way it is remembered.
