“The humour reminds me of Robert Rankin without the ludicrosity. Johannes and his brother are superbly interesting characters with that hint of unstated capabilities that makes a protagonist appealing. Their relationship forms the main crux of my delight with this novel. But other aspects include basically every scene in Hell and the final carnival town. Much love.”
